An estimated 40% of the world’s electricity use is for air conditioning and refrigeration cooling. To reduce that by 10% to 20% would be of great significance. McDonald’s Australia conducted a 5-year study on 6 locations to test energy efficiency products. After the study was completed, McDonald’s Australia recognized IceCOLD® as a recipient of their “Global Best of Green” for 2012.
